It has been a busy year on Violette’s newly modernized campus! After-school programs have kept students connected, busy, and learning. College and Career Readiness Program Mentors have provided academic and socio-emotional support to all 6th graders. The school's Drama Club, led by TK/Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Rodriguez and supported by mentors, meets twice a week after school in preparation for their production in May. They will be performing a bilingual adaptation of Latino folk tales focusing on taking pride in one’s identity. The Spanish Club, a heritage language program offered to upper grade students, also meets twice weekly. Sra. Guzman, works with students to increase pride in their Latino heritage. On May 28, both clubs will host a Showcase highlighting the work they have done. Please follow Violette on Facebook @VioletteElementarySchool for more.
